- Finding Your New company
- Find a company that has the same SIC code, is in a U.S. market, pays a dividend, issues bonds, and the stock price must be below $15.00
- 1. Go to Morningstar.com and type your symbol in 'quotes' on the top; Submit.
- 2. Go down on the right hand side where it says 'Competitors' - Click More
- 3. It will say "Industry Peers" -> 'Get Price Quotes' - Click that
- 3. Choose the new company with a stock price less than $15.00 and click it to see its profile.
- 4. Check on the right side where it says 'Dividends' to see if it has a declared dividend with dates and history.
- 5. You are currently under the tab 'quote'.. change that to 'bonds (beta)' and see if the company issues bonds. Try to find one that does issue bonds. If there is no bond data available, it's ok, I'll associate a bond with your symbol.
- 6. Give me your new symbol.
